Jay A. Baker

Jay A. Baker is an interdisciplinary artist who works primarily in music/sound, projections/film, analog collage, and magical realism writing – all aimed at exploring senses of place and blurring boundaries between personhood and environment. Raised in rural south-central CO, Jay studied music at University of Colorado in Colorado Springs, became a part of the Albuquerque DIY arts scene, and eventually came to Corvallis OR for their Masters Degree in Environmental Arts & Humanities. You can find their indie/alt music and radio show on KORC FM under the name Tom Foe, their noise/projections project under T O R U M, and find their experimental films and intricate paper collages under Jay A. Baker. They are active in the creative communities in and around Corvallis, working on their collage installation at Darkside Cinema, serving on the local arts center board of directors, and they can be found around town at live music and art events as an attendee or performer.
