About CMC

Building and connecting music communities around Corvallis since 2024.

The Corvallis Music Collective exists to foster an inclusive, vibrant music community. We provide affordable practice space, performance opportunities, educational programs, and connections that support local musicians — bridging genres, skill levels, and generations.

Our Values

  • Inclusivity — Welcoming musicians of all backgrounds, genres, and skill levels.
  • Accessibility — Keeping our offerings affordable so cost is never a barrier.
  • Community — Building meaningful connections and collaborations between musicians.
  • Growth — Supporting artists in developing their craft and reaching new audiences.
  • Sustainability — Creating lasting resources that serve the Corvallis music scene for years to come.

How We Operate

  • All-ages, always. A lot of great music in Corvallis happens in 21+ venues. CMC is an all-ages, substance-free alternative — a real venue where anyone can walk through the door and catch a live show.
  • NOTAFLOF. No One Turned Away For Lack Of Funds. If money is tight, you’re still welcome here. Come on out.
  • Bands get paid, and you decide how much. Buy a ticket to a CMC show and you name what you pay and where it goes — we suggest 70% to the acts on the bill and the rest to keeping the doors open, and you can move that either way, all the way. Card processing comes off the top, and you can cover it if you want the acts to keep the whole amount.
  • Volunteer-run and member-governed. Shows are operated by volunteers, and the collective is built for musicians, not for profit. If you want to get involved, reach out.

Our Story

  • January 2024 — Founded by a group of local musicians frustrated by the lack of affordable practice space in Corvallis.
  • April 2024 — Held our first fundraiser event, bringing the community together around a shared vision.
  • June 2024 — Received 501(c)(3) nonprofit status.
  • August 2024 — Signed a lease on our practice space at 6775 SW Philomath Blvd.
  • January 2025 — Hosted our first concert. Since then, we’ve put on 25+ live performances.

Leadership

The Corvallis Music Collective is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors.
